Lauren and Jay are amazing. I was very, very excited for their wedding. I love weddings in Santa Fe and absolutely love weddings at La Posada. I had no idea how much I’d love Lauren and Jay. Their wedding weekend was nothing short of amazing. Lauren and Jay’s rehearsal dinner was at Lacuna Galleries where Jay’s sweet mother has some of her award winning work hanging. You should check it out if you get a chance! It was a great night. Everyone dressed up in southern garb, ate some New Mexico brisket and celebrated with Lauren and Jay. Their wedding day was gorgeous. Lauren’s taste is flawless and the energy she put into the day was matched only by how committed their families and friends were to celebrate with Lauren and Jay and make it the best possible day. My favorite thing about destination weddings is how committed everyone is. Everyone traveled to the wedding from all over the U.S. as well as some from abroad. One of the things I loved about Lauren and Jay’s wedding is how thoughtful they were. They incorporated some important New Mexican traditions into their ceremony. They brought in the most amazing wedding band from Philadelphia, possibly the best I’ve seen. They had s'mores by the fire on the patio and tequila shots served via burro. Lauren also surprised Jay and their friends with an appearance via iPhone by one of their favorite artists, Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody. He sang one of their favorites for their first dance. Of all the things they did to make their day special, my favorite thing was Lauren’s big surprise for Jay. Lauren took voice lessons for an entire year, sneaking this around Jay the whole time. All because she wanted to surprise and bless him by singing him the first song at their reception. It was so sweet and so perfect! Jay and Lauren are both amazing people and their wedding was amazing as well. I am so glad we met and so glad I was able to help out with their wedding. It was perfect! Thanks you Lauren and Jay!!
